SEPULTURA: Video Interview With DERRICK GREEN

November 13, 2012

Metal4 conducted an interview with vocalist Derrick Green of Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA at the 2012 edition of the Rockharz Open Air festival, which was held July 12-14 at Airport Ballenstedt in Harz, Germany. You can now watch the chat below.

SEPULTURA has been confirmed for next year's edition of the Rock In Rio festival, set to take place in September 2013. The band will be joined on stage by Les Tambours Du Bronx, featuring sixteen drummers from France.

Founded in 1987, Les Tambours Du Bronx beat 225-liter barrels with beech wood bats or even axe handles. In more than 1000 concerts they've smashed about 16,000 barrels and more than 110,000 broken "drum sticks!"

SEPULTURA's concert at Rock In Rio will be professionally filmed for the band's next DVD, to be released sometime in 2014.

21-year-old drummer Eloy Casagrande joined SEPULTURA last year as the replacement for Jean Dolabella, who left the band because he could no longer handle being away from home for long periods of time.

Dolabella exited SEPULTURA after a five-year run of relentless touring and two studio albums. He joined SEPULTURA in 2006 following the departure of the band's original drummer, Igor Cavalera.

SEPULTURA is touring in support of its 12th studio album, and Nuclear Blast Records debut, "Kairos", which hit stores in July 2011.
